SAMRT CITY 2014 international workshop
The smart cities concept is becoming more and more attractive and more cities around the world are adopting the idea, as evidenced by the SmartCity Malta, Kochi SmartCity, and the project announced by the ruler of Dubai for a smart Dubai in 2014. Smart cities mandate is not to only maintain the quality of life of theirs residents and visitors, but also to improve it by leveraging the IT infrastructure and the novel communication technologies. Smart city is a model of efficiency, innovation, and ubiquitous access to a wide range of services. A city smartness can be assessed along several axes, including ‘smart living’, ‘smart economy’, ‘smart tourism’, ‘smart environment’, ‘smart mobility’, and ‘smart governance’.
The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for academics, researchers and practitioners from around the world to present their results and exchange ideas on recent developments, current research challenges, and future directions towards building cities of the future. Papers are to be submitted electronically on the EDAS web site of the conference in PDF format.
Submissions should be original and limited to 5 double-column pages, and should follow IEEE paper templates. Paper with more pages can be accepted however they need to be reduced to 5 pages for publication.
Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.

In order to submit, you must first create an EDAS account. The EDAS system will e-mail you your password. Then you can login to EDAS using the password you have received by email. EDAS will provide you with a submissions homepage where you can register your paper submission and make appropriate changes.
